THE SOCIETY
SELIM
The Spanish Society for Medieval English Language and Literature (SELIM) was founded in Oviedo, Spain, in the year 1988. Since then, it has grown to become one of the foremost societies devoted to the study of medieval English language and literature outside the Anglophone world.
The Society has celebrated thirty-one international conferences in all major Spanish universities. They have welcomed invited speakers and participants from all parts of the world and are renown for fostering a relaxed environment to network with both established and emerging scholars.
SELIM maintains a yearly journal that publishes high calibre work in the field and provides an accessible route to publication for early career scholars. This year, the journal has seen its 25th edition in a new OJS platform.
