  • Patricia Shaw Memorial Lecture Award

The Patricia Shaw Memorial Lecture Award has been established to honour Prof. Patricia Shaw (1931-1998), founder and first president of SELIM, her service and legacy to the Society and devoted work in supporting Old and Middle English studies. You can read "Patricia Shaw and English Studies in Spain" here.

The Memorial Lecture topics will encompass Prof. Shaw’s wide interests in Old English and Middle English language and literature. Each lecture will be presented at the SELIM annual conference and will be linked to a subsequent article to be published by SELIM Journal.

The lecturer and, therefore, author for the article will be chosen jointly by the Organising Committee of the SELIM annual conference and the SELIM Board. The Patricia Shaw Memorial Lecture includes a certificate from SELIM and an honorarium.
